Telephone Interconnect
Phone Connect is a purchasable module for MOTOTRBO radio systems. This is an entirely IP-based solution that allows radio users to place and receive telephone calls. It supports Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for connection to VoIP telephony devices.

Overview

Today two-way radio systems are used in almost every industry. Many businesses use land mobile radios as their primary means of communication. However, it is not always reasonable and cost-effective to provide all employees of a company with two-way radios. For example, office staff members can be tens or hundreds of kilometers away from a radio site where a radio network is deployed. In this case, office employees are likely to use telephones. Connecting field personnel to office staff requires an efficient gateway linking a radio system to a telephone network.
