DESCRIPTION:
The VHF Line Termination Unit is a 75 Ohm impedance unit that terminates the Leakey Feeder in a matched impedance unit. The impedance match is AC coupled so there is no DC power lost in the circuit.
Matching the Leaky Feeder cable in it's characteristic impedance of 75 Ohms eliminates possible reflection of RF signals that would occur if the line was mismatched. This is important where certain modulation schemes may be used on the RF signals.
